Luca Silva Fashion Stylist - Freelance

Background

Having an online portfolio is a necessity nowadays and it is even more important in an artistic field like the fashion world. Lucia needed a simple and minimalistic web-page that could be used as a branding resource for herself and her fantastic work.

I don't consider myself a real web designer but I have always loved the International Style and all the stunning typography-based websites. It aligns well with my engineer's mentality, providing a great amount of the design weight to the website structure.

Process

I always start freelance web projects with an intensive briefing in wich I ask clients a fixed set of questions that help me to better understand their goals and expectations. It's funny how I sometimes leave these meetings thinking that they are more beneficial for them than for me!

From there I follow a process that gives the client a couple of different design options, and by means of another design-meeting, we arrive at a final design. Coding and polishing are the final steps leading up to the deployment of the project.

My Role

This time I worked alone, soley armed with the advice of more experienced web-designers (I am always grateful for the help of my colleagues!). In this case I kept track of every single task, knowing that my records would serve me as guidelines for future projects.
